William T. Bledsoe

William T. Bledsoe is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with an MBA in Finance from the University Of Chicago Graduate School Of Business. Over the years, Mr. Bledsoe has made significant contributions in the financial arena as a Financial Executive, Certified Public Accountant and Lecturer of Financial Management/Accounting. His distinguished career in the profession spans more than 30 years. While his initial professional accounting career began with the CPA firm of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Company, now KPMG, he later expanded to corporate finance at several of the US Fortune 500 giants, such as Bendix Corporation, American Hospital Supply Corporation (AHS) and Hospital Corporation of America (HCA). Since 1994, he has provided financial leadership for The Family Health Centers of Georgia based, as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for West End Medical Centers, Inc., based in Southwest Atlanta. He is considered by key funding sources and his peers as a financial leader in the primary healthcare industry.

At every level, Mr. Bledsoe has continually demonstrated his ability to be a decisive leader in financial management, accounting, treasury and strategic directions. He has evaluated major business investments and related expansion into market segments for domestic and foreign-based operations. Mr. Bledsoe has developed and presented investment strategies and methodologies to operation executives, business unit managers and other key executives within the aforementioned multi-national healthcare corporations. In addition, he has monitored compliance with internal policies and those of regulatory agencies.

In his role as Vice President & CFO, he directs the finance operations of the organization and supports a goals-based management system that involves strategic planning and accountability for financial and managerial results.

Mr. Bledsoe was a key partner in assisting the organization in securing a debt financing for a $5.4 million bond issuance, with a related Letter of Credit, to finance the construction of a new medical complex. In this regard, he developed Performa, handled inquiries from financial institutions and members of the Finance Committee and Board of Directors relative to business strategies, operating results, financial position and cash flow requirements of the organization. He was instrumental in the successful restructuring of several financial deals and directed the refinancing process of bonds payable to a traditional term loan. As a result of his diligent efforts in connection with the traditional loan, the corporation is realizing $250,000 per annum in financial service cost savings over several years.

He was featured in the 19th Edition of Who's Who in the Midwest. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Atlanta Chapter of The University of Chicago Alumni Association. He has participated on several occasions as a delegate at the semi-annual National Healthcare CFO Summits sponsored by Marcus Evans. He also participates in the annual CFO Rising Conference sponsored by the CFO Publication.
